PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
• I accept Paypal only. I will not start work on your commission until I receive payment.
• Once work has started on the commission, a FULL refund is not available, the more work that has gone into the commission, the more payment I take out of the refund.
• If the commissioner fails to pay in any manner, I hold the right to alter and resell the art at my discretion.
MAKING CHANGES DURING A COMMISSION
• For full body colored pieces, a scan of the sketch will be provided to the commissioner to approve before I ink and color the piece. The commissioner may request minor changes at this point. You are allowed 2 times to view and change the sketch; after that I will start charging for additional changes.
• Once art has gone beyond this sketch portion, I can no longer make any changes to the piece, sorry.
TIME AND DEADLINES
• If you have a deadline, please let me know in advance.
• I try to complete everything in a timely manner, but in some cases it can take a few months to complete your commission, especially if it is a larger one. (this is only is the commission doesn't have a deadline!)
• If you are ever curious about the status of your commissions, I keep an updated queue here. If you have any other questions please feel free to email me at LeadDogStudio (@) Gmail.com.
RIGHTS OF USE (VERY IMPORTANT)
• The commissioner retains all rights to characters of your own creation if used within the commissioned work.
• The commissioner is welcome to repost the works/commissions for a NON PROFIT manner, but credit MUST be given to the artist for that artwork and some form of link back to the artist's gallery or website must be also given.
• The right to reprint the art is NOT part of these rights, this includes but is not limited to: Artwork prints, book covers, game books, CD covers. In other words, this is a personal piece of art, not a commercial commission.
• I retain the right to repost the art here, on my personal web site, along with other online art archives. Watermarks are added to all my pieces uploaded online. I also retain the right to reuse art as part of a personal portfolio, or as examples for future commissions. If you are not okay with this, please let me know before-hand. There is an additional fee for not having the commission posted online or able to use as part of my portfolio.
• In some cases I might ask a commissioner if its okay to sell prints of their commission. Prints will not be made of your commission unless I ask you and you are okay with it.
COMMUNICATION
• Please make an effort to respond to emails about commissions promptly. If you do not reply to me with how you feel about the progress, I can not continue in a prompt manner myself.
SHIPPING
• I ship worldwide. All of my commissions are generally shipped in yellow envelopes, in protective sleeves and backed with thick cardboard.
• In some cases another method of packaging will be used. I do not automatically insure a piece or do tracking on it. You must request it, in which case the shipping cost will be adjusted accordingly.
